The new blood angels codex and models have finally been released! I am so excited to get some goodies. My uncle, who took a trip down to grasshopper comics (the store we go to for our stuff), got a copy of the codex and let me take a look. Hear are 10 new rules and changes to the codex that really got me happy and excited to play with the blood angels again.
- A death company squad can now have up to 30 models in it.
- There is now a librarian dreadnought
- Though not that good, it is pretty interesting. There is now a "flamer pistol".
- Rhinos, whirlwinds, vindicators, predators, and any tank with the "rhino" body have the fast vehicle rules.
- Land Raiders count as dedicated transports instead of heavy support.
- Tycho doesn't suck anymore. He can now be played as a death company character.
- Blood Angels have there own version of the imperial guard's valkyrie called the Storm Raven
- Scouts are not elites anymore.
- Dreadnoughts are Heavy Support, unless you use a death company dread which is troops. Furioso dreads are still elites.
- LAND RAIDERS CAN DEEP STRIKE!!!
There are TONS of more new stuff in the codex that are very pleasing. I will be sure to go over the the shop to get some of the new death company models and the codex this week. Hopefully I will be able to complete most of my army this week too. Pics and videos will be up soon.
