I'm sorry for for the 2 months I haven't posted anything. 2 weeks ago, I celebrated my birthday and received a razorback, about 40 boyz for my ork army and a bunch of nobs, Oh, and the 4 bikers and 3 warbuggies and wartrakks. The boyz are supposedly from the 2nd edition era. I love 'em. My razorback is finished assembled and just waiting to be painted.

Battle Report: 2,500 pts. Orks and Ultramarines.

Yesterday, I met up with my Uncle and played a game. I must say, he was prepared. His list included 5 tactical squads ( 1 had a lascannon, others had Missile Launchers), 2 whirlwinds, 2 razorbacks with lascannons, a 10 man assault squad, a captain, chaplain, 2 landspeeders, a 5 man tactical squad and a LAND RAIDER HELIOS. I had 70 boyz with choppas with 4 boyz nobz, 2 squadrons of 3 deffkoptas, 12 nobz in trukks, 2 warboss's that was attached to the nobz and trukk, a battlewagon, and a STOMPA. This game was a blood bath. We played "capture and control".

Deployment: We rolled to see which corner of the table would be mine and I got the bottom left. He got the top right (if your looking from my view of the table). I also had the first turn. We were allowed to put some units in reserve. I deployed my stompa, deffkoptas and trukk behind my base, which was a fortress ( 3+ save!!!!!!!!). I also put 20 boys and a nob inside my fortress to "guard" my objective. My opponent deployed all his tanks (whirlwinds, razorbacks with combat squads inside, and land raider Helios.), and 3 tactical squads serving as snipers from the windows of his "Base".

Turn 1: I moved my trukk 13" to the right of my fort, moved one of the deffkopta squadrons 12" up the board behind a building, the other 10" to the right of my base.. Nothing was in range or in the line of sight, so I was forced to surrender my turn to the marines. Uncle moved one razorback up the board to a building in the middle of the table and put the other at the opposite edge of where my base was. He shot a whirlwind missile at my orks in the fortress and killed one boy. He killed a deffkopta with a missile and a lascannon shot ( 2 wounds).

Turn 2: I brought in 20 boys from reserves and shot one deffkannon shot at the land raider but missed. I ended my turn. My Uncle wrecked my trukk but my nobz and warboss were able to escape. He also killed some of the boys that just were deployed and one of the nobz that were with my warboss.

Turn 3: I brought in my other trukk of nobz and a warboss from reserves and killed 5 of his tactical marines with a dethkannon shot and destoyed a dread with a rokkit. that deffkopta and the other one it was with were later killed in that turn. One of my nobz lost 1 wound from a heavy bolter shot. my battle wagon was shot at by a lascannon but the cover save protected it.

Turn 4: 1 land speeder was destroyed by a warboss with his twin linked shoota and 2 marines. I lost 13 boyz and my battlewagon. I tried to tank shock some marines but they "Death or Gloried" me and blew up my wagon. but one of the marines from the squad I tried to shock died fromt the explosion. My stompa lost it's supa gatler and deffkannon when the land raider threw everthing it had at it. I never even used the gatler. My orks in the fortress went into assault when assault marines dropped in and I lost 5 boyz.

Turn 5 and 6: Stompa lost 3 structure points, I lost more an entire mob of boyz (about 14 where left) when it was assaulted by 7 tactical marines. In these turns he lost 4 assault marines, and about 5 more tactical marines. None of his tanks were destroyed in the game.

Who Won?: Technically, the game ended in a tie because no one got each other's objective, but if you count the kill points, the score woul be Him-5 and Me- 4. So, he won the game.

Grasshopper Comics

Grasshopper Comics is a comic book shop located in Wiliston Park, NY. They don't only sell comics here. They also sell 40k models, Fantasy models, warmachine models, LOTR models, Star Wars Mini's and more. This shop also has a couple of gaming table where gamers can play. Hello, my name is peter and I play warhammer 40k. I have been playing for about 2 years. My Uncle, who is also a 40k player, bought me the battle for macragge set for Christmas and I have been playing ever since. I am one of those hobbyists who can't get too much 40k. It even caused me to fail one of my school trimesters (67%). This made me take a break from 40k and focus on school (groan). Now that school is FINALLY over, I have time to paint, play, etc. WoooWhoooo!!!!!!!
